Full Alpha Hair

Since June 2019, all KoKoLoReS hairstyles are full alpha  styles. What does that mean, you ask?

It means that this hair looks soft and natural.
It also means that there can be glitches – because all textures have transparency.

If you apply an Omega/Genus/Catwa/Lelutka etc. applier hairbase to wear with this hair, chances are that it won’t display correctly immediately, because the layer on the head it applies to has transparency, too. So, there  can be alpha channel clashes, resulting in see-through effects.
When that happens, right clicking the hair, choosing “edit” and then just closing the edit window again usually resolves the issue. The same trick helps if you apply eyeshadow/lashes to your mesh head and the hair hides part of the face – often the eyeshadow/lashes won’t show correctly – right clicking helps here, too.
Detaching/re-attaching also helps – actually it helps too when the hair looks glitchy, which can happen when there’s lag, for example.

If possible, you should try to wear tattoo layers – thank you, Bakes on Mesh! – because the textures will be baked, there will be no alpha clashes!

The lashes of your mesh head are made of alpha texture, too, so depending on the angle of your camera, there might be glitching. Unless you can set the lashes to alpha masking (like on Catwa heads), there is not much that can be done about that.

I think the soft, more natural look of alpha hair makes up for these shortcomings, and hope you do, too! But seriously, please please pretty please, always demo. If you don’t like how things work on the demo, chances are you will be unhappy should you purchase regardless. So did I say, demo, please? 🙂
