Digits, digits, digits!

Strawberry Singh has asked for our digits, and how we have changed our avatars for mesh (read it all on her blog)… I didn’t take part in the first round of sharing digits, so there’s no picture for comparison, but I haven’t changed much at all!

Berry also asked a few questions…

How has the introduction of mesh affected your SL, if at all? Are you open to wearing mesh often or do you still shy away from it?

I loooove mesh! The way it moves with the body, the crisp textures – it’s just wow! From the start I got hold of demos left and right, and my collection of mesh clothing is growing fast. I definitely think it’s the future in SL – mesh combined with well made system clothing stuff. I see sculpted prims holding their own in the furniture/decorations/prefab market, but not that much in fashion.

Have you changed your shape to fit into mesh? If so, did you go bigger or smaller?

Thankfully I don’t have to change much to fit into mesh – though the sizes I wear change a lot! Depending on the designer, I wear xxs – s. What I do have to change from time to time is breast and butt size – a few digits up or down, depending on the fit of the clothes, I do that gladly. What I don’t like though is that I have to change my legs constantly – my avi is bow-legged, and that doesn’t go well with rigged mesh boots or feet, with boots the leg is pushing through the boot or there’s a gap between the leg and the seam of the mesh feet. As my bow-legginess is what I’m most peculiar about :-P, you can probably imagine how much changing that digit irks me!

Do you think the mesh deformer will resolve a lot of the issues people seem to have with mesh and will it encourage you to wear mesh more  often, if you don’t already?

It won’t make that much difference to me – I’m already totally addicted to mesh and couldn’t go back – but I think it will be a great help to the designers (I’m rather hoping for that Redpoly-thing, too) whose work-load and upload cost is huge right now,  and for everyone who has more difficulties fitting into mesh sizes or no inclination to change at all for wearing mesh.
