I can’t believe that Berry’s “Why do I blog meme” was a year ago… time flies, and I haven’t been doing the memes as regularly as I would have liked to! So this time there is no procrastinating, here comes Berry’s Blogging Journey Challenge! If you would like to take part too, follow the white rabbit… I mean, the instructions!
Copy and paste the following questions and answers to your post, delete my answers and input your own. Don’t forget to leave a link to your post at Berry’s blog in the comments so others can come by and read your answers as well!
- Which electronic devices do you use to blog with?
For making and uploading the post, I use my computer. I couldn’t do it on the small screen of my phone or Kindle, a) because I’m quite far sighted, b) because no. My computer setup has two screens, and I frankly couldn’t imagine living or working without those two screens anymore, be it blogging or working on stuff for my store. - Do you have a mission statement for your blog, if so, what is it?
Not really a mission, no. I love taking pics and sharing my finds. I love when an outfit comes together just like so. Mainly, I blog because I enjoy it. And of course I’m blogging my shop stuff too, so that part of blogging has a mission – to show off what I’ve made and hopefully people like it! - How do you feel about blogs that use their platforms to spread negativity?
Very much like you do – not interested. Not reading. - Are you a grammar junkie? Do you thoroughly check your blog for errors before posting and/or do you judge other people’s posts if they contain errors?
I have to admit that I’m a bit of a grammar junkie – both in my first language and in english – though it doesn’t mean that I don’t make mistakes, especially in english. But I do check my posts carefully before pressing “publish”, and if I see an error after publishing, I go back and correct it. I do not judge other people’s posts when they contain errors – after all, they might not be native speakers, just like me – but yes, I see errors and they sometimes annoy me. A tiny bit. And then I’m itching to correct. And then I think, no, it’s not your place, and how would you feel if someone did it to you? And then I move on. 😀 - If you could switch blogs with another blogger who would it be?
There are so many lovely blogs out there, but I think I would like to switch with Anya Ohmai. I simply love everything about her blog, the style, the pictures, it’s lovely! - Has your blog/blogging style evolved over the year(s)? How?
I do hope so! At least, the photos have hopefully gotten better… I’m not writing much anymore. Sometimes, I miss the writing part, but then I do mostly fashion shoots, and writing about a skirt or a blouse isn’t easy. I mean, I’m blogging it, so you can be sure that I love it. What more is there to say? So it’s mostly pics and credits now. I wish I had more time for home&garden posts, but lately most of my time goes into making stuff for my store (which is a good thing, I’m very glad about that!). - What is the most extraordinary thing that has happened to you because of blogging?
Nothing really extraordinary. Blogging inspires me. Showing off the beautiful stuff people are making for this “game” Second Life constantly inspires me. So much talent everywhere! I love that. - When it comes to Second Life blogs, there are different styles: Fashion bloggers, Lifestyle & Travel bloggers, Informative bloggers, and more. Which style do you prefer and where do you feel your blog fits in?
I love ’em all and try to read as many as possible. I’m constantly adding new finds to my blogroll. My own fits mainly into the fashion category, with a bit of lifestyle thrown in. - What has blogging taught you?
For one thing, that what I consider a great outfit or pic is not neccessarily what the audience likes best… I sometimes get gray hairs about that, I swear! That feeling when you think a pic is just right, and then, well… this other one that you’re not sure about, everyone likes that much much better. Hm. 😀 - Share your top 3 tips for new bloggers.
Blog only what you like. Try to develop your own style! And above all, have fun!

yes, yes about developing your own style! You succeed beautifully there!
Thank you Dolly! ❤
About number 9. The same thing happens to me. I will post a pic that I think is weak and almost didn’t post and people love it. And then they don’t like the ones I am most proud of. It’s bizarre.
Ah I’m not alone! That is good to know 🙂
