New year, new challenges! 😀
The lovely Strawberry Singh is doing her monday memes again, and I hope to do as many as possible this year! Today she is challenging us to do a yearbook shot of our avatar, smiling. That is not easy to accomplish – the inbuild smile looks pretty goofy and unrealistic, and a bit creepy because the face crumples up like.. oh well you know all that!
So on the first photo, I downright “cheated” because I used the Slink Becky mesh head. The whole face changes for the smile anims (I used the smirk here) and with the right windlight, those lines around the mouth appear all by themselves! Not much editing to do there.
The second pic was more work – I took a photo of a smile (using the Anypose expression hud) and one of the tooth smile and used the eyes of the former and the mouth of the latter. I also wore eyebags to get the crinkling effect around the eyes. The slight lines around the mouth are painted on in Photoshop, and I liquified the face quite a bit to make it less symetrical (raised the right eyebrow, lowered the left, worked on the mouth a bit…).
