I have been experimenting for a few days now with Daeberethwen Arbenlow’s Photoshop tutorials, having quite a lot of fun! While I am by no means new to green-screen techniques (I’ve used them a lot in my machinima-making days), I am new to painting on shadows – most of my pictures are taken with shadows enabled, and I sort of clean them up or merge shadows/no shadows pictures for the final result. This one is very different – taken in front of a green screen, merged with a background taken with shadows enabled, all shadows on my avatar painted in trying to get it right. I’m ok with the result, even if I feel that the area around the feet doesn’t look quite right. More practise is needed! Thank you for these great tutorials, Daeberethwen!
